Memorable Moments from previous Belize Retreats
A note from your retreat guide Raquel
One thing about a LoveHER retreat is that we journey to places that can help to mend our hearts, clear our minds, and nourish our bodies
On retreat, I love seeing women radically choose themselves and allow the door to open to a deeper relationship of embodiment, self inquiry, gentle healing compassion, joy, and time and space to feel it all.
There are three threads that support and uplift our wellbeing: reconnection to nature, reconnection to ourselves, and meaningful connection to community that fosters a profound sense of belonging.
It is my hope that the version of you that returns home is inevitably reimagined, awakened, and transformed by the experience of being on a LoveHER Retreat.
-
I am the founder and wellness curator of LoveHER Retreats. I am a multifaceted trauma-informed wellness practitioner from Houston, Texas with over 12 years of experience in various healing modalities. My intention is to create something truly extraordinary with LoveHER Retreats. It's more than just retreats; it's about holding sacred space for profound community healing. At its core, it's about cultivating a warm and inclusive community that opens its arms wide to welcome women from all walks of life.

Bullet Tree Falls is a village located along the Mopan River in Cayo District, Belize. This area is known for its trees! One of them is called the "Bullet Tree" hence the name of the town, and has been known to be so strong that a bullet cannot pass through it. This is a community and family oriented experience. Be prepared for full cultural immersion.

Yes. Our resort has a water treatment system in place and it is safe to brush your teeth. Drinking water is avaliable in your room, and water stations throughout the resort. We highly recommend that you bring a water bottle.
Is there a bar?
Yes, there is a bar on-site. You can charge drinks to your room.

Weather:
Sunny skies and cool nights
December through May is the dry season and usually thought of as the preferred time of year to visit Belize. There are less mosquitoes and hot, dry weather this time of year, considered by locals as their Summer.
Pack a bathing suit and cover up, yoga clothes, sunblock and a big hat, hiking shoes, bug spray, and quick dry light clothes for hot and humid weather.
Will I get eaten alive by bugs?
This is a tropical area and there are bugs. Sometimes more than at other times. Our stay is during the dry season so there are typically less bugs.
Check in and Check out Times:
Check in is any time after 4 pm
Check out is anytime before 11am
Wifi and Cell Service
There is wifi service at the resort and cell service. Due to the isolated location, the signal could suffer disruptions and sometimes there are temporary power outages. Please consider this and know that there are safety measures in place.
Tips and Gratuities
At the end of the retreat, you can leave a tip for the resort cleaning and waitstaff in cash. I generally recommend $10/day at your discretion.
COVID-19
We will provide no refund or other reimbursement to you if you are unable to participate in the Retreat due to illness such as COVID 19 prior to trip departure or during the Retreat but reimbursement can typically be sought from most travel insurance policies.
